The choir wanted to do something different, and raise some money for charity along the way. That's when this idea was born!

On Saturday 11nd June The Decibelles attended the North Northamptonshire Musival festival's inaugural competition.
The choir entered four categories - Community, Ladies, Sacred and Show Songs.
The choir came away winning the Ladies (89) and Community class (92), and coming second in Musicals (89) and Sacred (92). We are thrilled with our scores, and as you can see there were high marks to beat!
The choir then went on to compete in the Choir of Choirs category (the top four scoring choirs of the day, with a song chosen by the adjudicator), where they placed 2nd.
This is the first competition of its kind in Kettering since the demise of the 109-year-old Kettering Eisteddfod back in 2018.
The Salvation Army Citadel was filled with joy, camaraderie and song. All choirs were so supportive of one another, and it was a truly wonderful day where we are sure all competitors will take away magical memories with them.
